Inauguration of AdduXi in Rochester Hills (MI)
Remarks by Consul General of France Vincent Floreani on the occasion of the inauguration of the Precision French molder AdduXi in Rochester Hills (MI)
(October 23, 2014)
Yes. Thank you America!
Like many of you, I’ve visited this cemetery in Normandy.
It is utterly moving to see the tombs of thousands of very young Americans, some still in their teens, who gave their lives for the freedom of France and Europe. We will never forget!
Thank you for sharing this film. France is one of America’s oldest and closest allies. We have never been so close in confronting common threats at international level. And each day, we are deepening further our economic relations.
I am delighted to be with you today to share in this important and exciting event honoring the official opening of AdduXi’s new production facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
AdduXi is a very successful French plastics company. It specializes in the injection molding of highly complex automotive parts, such as sensor housings, window lifters, fan shrouds and sensors for a variety of applications. Many of the parts are extremely technical and feature two-shot over-molded on plated copper or platinum.
AdduXi had many options when it set out to expand to the U.S. market a mere 15 months ago.
Through the collective efforts on both sides of the Atlantic, AdduXi and its tenacious President, Alain Palisse selected Rochester Hills, Michigan.
I would like to thank the city of Rochester Hills, Oakland County, and the State of Michigan officials and staff who paved the way for a successful launch. We are grateful for their professional assistance.
Their efforts were seconded by our French team of Ubifrance and the French Investment Bank. Many thanks in particular to Molly Swart, George Ucko and Pierric Bonnard for your hard work to ensure seamless communication with the local authorities and institutional actors and to provide the funding for the project.
I commend you all for your efforts in assisting AdduXi achieve its inaugural goals in record time.
This opening is yet another step in increasing the trade between our two countries. As Consul General of France, it is a real a pleasure.
With the automotive industry back in full growth, I know that AdduXi’s investment timing could not be better. I wish Alain, Xavier and their respective teams much success as they begin their production and I look forward to receiving continued news of their success for many years to come.
Thank you very much.
