Consul General Guillaume Lacroix visits DeKalb High School

On August 29, Consul General Guillaume Lacroix visited DeKalb High School and discussed the merits of learning French as a foreign language with high school students.

Consul General Lacroix was welcomed to DeKalb High School by Principal James Horne and French teacher Nataliya Zimmerman.

After a visit of the school’s campus and facilities, Consul General Lacroix spoke with high school seniors taking the highest level French course. He shared his experiences as a diplomat, spoke about diplomacy, and highlighted the importance of foreign languages in today’s increasingly connected world.

Students were able to ask Consul General Lacroix questions in French, which he in turn responded in French as well.
